I help manage our fifth-generation family farm, including crop ground, rangeland, and a cow–calf operation. It keeps me grounded in long-term thinking, practical decision-making, and the reality that good choices compound over time
I spend time working with my kids on youth livestock projects and stock shows. It’s a lesson in preparation, consistency, and accountability—show day only reflects the work done months before. The same is true for teams and businesses.
I built my own home and stay hands-on with projects that require planning, sequencing, and follow-through. Doing the work myself reinforced the value of sweat equity—understanding cost, tradeoffs, and consequences at a granular level.
I coach youth sports and enjoy helping kids learn fundamentals, teamwork, and confidence. It reinforces that strong performance comes from clarity, repetition, and trust—principles that matter just as much in business as they do on the field.
I love to travel with my wife. It gives me distance from daily responsibilities and space to regain perspective. Experiencing different cultures sharpens my thinking, challenges assumptions, and helps me return with clearer priorities and better judgment.
